Awning bracket screws posted in problems solutions after market. Then drill a pilot hole into the framing and just install a new second lag screw. Next unroll the awning and slide the arms into place before adjusting the tension using the knobs on either side of the awning. Also the bracket is very slightly bent out at the bottom now.

Mark if there is no access behind the damaged area i would affix a metal plate to the bottom of the arm that extends a couple of inches beyond the base plate. The plate goes on the outside of the side of the unit and ends up under the bottom bracket of the awning leg this is not yet on your awning it is a repair part we use to re attatch the awning bracket you silicone and screw it to the outside then drill the two screw holes into it then screw the bracket on to it.
