I was just thinking about getting a little longer screw.
How to fix rv awning bottom mounting bracket pulled out.
Awning bracket screws posted in problems solutions after market.
Then drill a pilot hole into the framing and just install a new second lag screw.
Next unroll the awning and slide the arms into place before adjusting the tension using the knobs on either side of the awning.
Also the bracket is very slightly bent out at the bottom now.
That came with your awning and making sure not to strip the screws.
Mark if there is no access behind the damaged area i would affix a metal plate to the bottom of the arm that extends a couple of inches beyond the base plate.
If it appears loose wedge some shims in alongside the dowel.
Seal the open holes with silicone before installing the awning bracket.
So the bracket that holds the awning to the rv got pulled off at the bottom and the lower 2 screws stripped out of the side of the rv.
Attach the awning railing to the roof of your rv using the screws bolts washers etc.
I would then run lag screw through the predrilled holes in the new plate and secure it to the side of the trailer.
I looked and the arm comes as an entire assembly and costs over 500 so it s not worth that.
I just noticed that the screws holding one of the awning brackets is always backing out.
Another option is to drill a new hole in the awning bracket itself above below or next to the problem hole.
Trim off any portion of the dowel that sticks out.
How do y all fix this.
The plate goes on the outside of the side of the unit and ends up under the bottom bracket of the awning leg this is not yet on your awning it is a repair part we use to re attatch the awning bracket you silicone and screw it to the outside then drill the two screw holes into it then screw the bracket on to it.
