With the pipe in a vertical position trace around the pipe using a pencil. Pull the tape measure along the length of your roof and climb up the ladder in the new position to take your measurement. Climb a ladder near the corner of your roof and tape the end of your tape measure against the rafter using duct tape. Drill pilot holes into the fascia at each rafter mark with a 1 4 inch drill bit.

Position the vent pipe up to the bottom of the roof. Drill the holes a 1 2 inch deep. Adjust the lap so that the last panel completes the coverage without making a cut lengthwise. Get off of your ladder and reposition it at the other end of your roof.

The hole needs to be taller than your pipe diameter as the pipe isn t passing through the roof at a perpendicular angle. Attach the fascia brackets to the fascia by screwing 1 4 inch stainless steel lag.
