First of all dremel rotary tools are designed to cut and will thoroughly cut whatever is in front of them.

For larger jobs mount an abrasive disc in an angle grinder.
Add an abrasive discto the side grinder.
Step 5 set the rpm to 2000 by sliding the switch all the way to the left and press the cutting wheel onto the top of the sheet metal surface.
Remember not to cut all the way through during the first cut.
Make sure you hold the dremel with both hands for stability over the marked area.
