Preparation with cricut transfer tape. This is used to remove the negative pieces of vinyl from the cut image. Place your vinyl on your cutting mat with the paper liner side towards the mat. To cut vinyl on a cricut you ll need a few different supplies.

Place vinyl liner side down onto cricut standardgrip mat. Press flashing go button. Press go the c icon underneath your dial. Once the mat is loaded the screen will tell you to press the flashing go button.

How to print then cut on printable vinyl with cricut. First off you ll need a cutting machine i love using my cricut explore air 2 for all of my vinyl projects. Load the mat into your machine and turn the smart set dial to vinyl. Stick a piece of vinyl to your cutting mat making sure the paper backing side is down.

Your machine will be set to cut the vinyl but not the paper backing. Remove your vinyl from the mat once your cut is complete. Remove the negative pieces from each of the images leaving the clear liner intact. Then load the mat into your cricut machine by pressing the flashing load unload button.

You ll also need a weeding tool. A green standard grip mat works best with vinyl. Select images and size and load the mat into the machine.
