When you are sawing the siding for the gables the edges of the siding must be cut according to the slant of the roof.
Lifting the gable end took a couple hours.
If you need to cut boards at angles to fit a pitched roof hold a t bevel tool against the trim piece and the gable to get the angle of the cut.
Then the 1 10 boral truexterior rake boards were installed capped off with 1 4 rake shadow board and painted.
The same technique you just learned will work for cutting the piece of siding that the makes the transition from the wall to the gable.
Tighten the wing nut and use the t bevel to mark boards for cutting.
Measure the distance from the bottom of the piece to the gable.
Use a sliding t bevel to transfer the angle of the roof to the siding boards for making the necessary cuts.
After the siding was nailed off we rolled and brushed on the finish coat of paint.
